Welcome to Angelo's Pizzeria, located at 445 Hazle St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. This gem of a pizzeria is not just a place for delicious food; it's an experience that ensures you eat well and enjoy every moment. As a proud reviewer of Foodjoyy, I’m excited to delve into what makes Angelo’s a popular pizza destination in the area.
Why Choose Angelo's Pizzeria? Here, the pizza is the star of the show, offering both regular and thick styles for just $3.00 and $3.30, respectively. From the first bite of their crispy yet soft dough to the bold flavors of their audacious cheese and tomato sauce combo, it’s easy to see why patrons rave about their slices. The thick crust topped with sweet sauce is particularly noteworthy; a recommendation you’ll hear echoed by satisfied customers like Michael S., who suggests calling in advance as the demand is high.
As I reflect on the reviews from enthusiastic customers like Dominique M. and Daniel D., it’s evident that Angelo's Pizzeria stands out for its remarkable pizza and warm service. Will S. even went so far as to change travel plans just to indulge in Angelo's buttery crust before closing time! This level of dedication from diners illustrates that Angelo’s is not just another pizza place—it’s a culinary experience that leaves a lasting impression.

“ Food is delicious! Service is worth the wait and lovely. Ambiance is on point. Highly recommend! ”
“ The pizza is great. No question about it. NEPA is the sleeper of pizza establishments The wait for it thought is a little horrendous and it deserves to be. Make sure you call about 60-120min before you plan on eating this meal Don't recommend sitting there and eating. You'll be packed like sardines and need to yell to talk Do recommend the thick crust with sweet sauce. Dont need extra, it's plenty and the perfect amount ”
“ Pizza is always good although wait is long sometimes but worth it . Thick crust with extra cheese ”
“ Incredible food. Very buttery crust. I literally changed my travel plans so that I could make it in time before Angelo's closed. ”
“ My wife and I get the plain pie all the time and absolutely love it. The dough is crispy on the bottom and soft in the middle. Cheese and sauce combo is audacious, and inspires me to be a better person. We had the sweet sauce, one time, too which was good but we prefer the regular sauce better. Best pizza around, by far. I don't know what their secret is, but they've got one, and it's good! ”
“ Best vegan pizza in NEPA. Good crust and sauce, better than some pizza I've had in NY. ”
“ The original... one of the best. Sometimes you want their square sometimes the round. Can't beat a plain well done, well maybe sweet sauce and onions. Every pie and topping combo to make you smile, and full. The place is packed in the evenings on the weekend. Never used the bathroom, but the rest of the place is clean so they're probably clean too. Kid friendly, and they have an atm if you forgot cash. ”
“ What can I say? There's a reason Angelo's has been around this long. Great pizza! If you are looking for a pizza place with other menu items, then you will need to look elsewhere. Angelo's specializes in pizza -- hot, tasty, cheesy goodness! Be prepared to wait a bit if you order on Friday or Saturday nights, but it's worth the wait! ”
